We're Alive!!

Yes, I AM alive! It's been way too long since I last posted-over a week, yikes! I'll try to be better about posting, but sooooo much has been going on lately-Kyle's spring break, Bryce's build-a-bear, church retreats, family get-togethers, oh, and work, work, work!! BTW-I'm soooo excited and proud of my Team at work-We are the number 1 Ranked Team in our entire Area-Yeah, I am so blessed to work with all of you!!

First, I have to tell you all about today. I had my monthly visit with my Dr. and the heartbeat was around 150 bpm...my funny dr. Said, "Well, all I'm saying is I'm 50% sure it's a girl!" Ha Ha! So, then onto our next appointment-the sonogram and bloodwork for genetic testing. Now, I didn't do that testing with Bryce, but I figured we might as well check things out, and God-forbid-something was wrong, it would be nice to know ahead of time. So, Kyle and I got to see our little booger, and let me tell you, he/she is SO much bigger than the last sono. The specialist explained all the testing info to us, said the baby looked good, and then asked the BIG question..." Do you wan to know the sex?" We were like "OF COURSE"!!! He said he is about 80% accurate, and he pointed to "something", and said I think you are having another BOY!!!! WOW, Kyle and I were so excited, but we aren't going to get too excited until next month-April 28th-we'll find out 100%! Side note-Kyle did do a "FIST-PUMP" in the air-hilarious!!!! I think my Husband wants a boy!!! We will be happy and grateful with whatever the sweet Lord gives us though!!

Ok, so, the last week was so fun-well, Thursday Kyle and I took Bryce to "Build-A-Bear" at Northpark. We also HAD to get B a "Flushie" aka Slushie! Here are pics from our adventure:

"Hey, Mom, cool sunglasses!"

Bryce posing with the mannequins!

B picking out a perfect "Heart" for his Bear!

B decided his Bear needed 4 hearts instead of 1!! Yes, they are ALL inside the Bear!

B loved pushing his Bear in the stroller-ready to push brother/sister!

Giving Bear an "Air" bath!

Too funny-B named his Bear "Jingle Bells"!!! Here's his birth certificate!

B and Mommy!

B was saying " The flowers are pretty like mommy"-so sweet!

B was rocking Jingle Bells night-night on the way home, singing "Night-night,baby, night-night; sleep tight, Jesus loves you, that's right, etc..."

Ok, so he watches me do everything, and I guess he picked up on my "pretend" microphone...see below!!
While Kyle was on Spring Break last week, he worked on our yard-he's such an awesome and HOT yard-man!! Anyhow, here are he and B getting the side-yard done-it looks so good now! Kyle also re-planted flowers in the front-only took him 4 hours to replace the pansies with begonias! I'm so blessed he likes yard-work!

We also added some things to B's room! Kyle gave B this picture that his Dad gave him several years ago-so sweet! Here are my two handsome men with the new pic for B's room....

I also attended a women's church retreat with Hollie (Drama Mama), and my Mother-in-Law, Debbe, Fri and Sat...it was AMAZING! It was so great to become ever closer to Him and learn from some amazing ladies. Thanks, Hol, for inviting me! I had a blast! We also had so much fun at Chris & Annie's Sat night-good company, food, fun-love you guys!

I hope you all have a blessed week and enjoy this beautiful sunshine :)

Good Friends, Good Times

This week, well, the end of the week, has been tough on me. The pregnancy/nausea seems to be getting a little, and I mean a little, better daily. So, I think I 'm getting used to it now, but my Love, Kyle, has been out-of-town for a baseball tournament since Thursday, and we really only had Wednesday evening to spend with him b/c Monday was open house, Tuesday was baseball, etc... I really don't want to complain, or sound like a baby-which I know I have been lately, but things just are NOT the same when he's gone. Bryce asks about Daddy constantly, and we both miss him.

So, that brings us to today. B and I thought it would be fun to meet up with Karen and Jackson, and oh, am I glad we did-sooooo much fun! We had a playdate at the Frisco mall. B and I got there a little early and got some lunch. Sweet Jackson was napping, so I thought, yes...we can maybe do a little shopping before they get here, which we did!! Before the shopping started, B had to get a "Flushy" aka Slushy from sonic with his lunch. See pic below...he LOVES Flushies!!

Mom, may I please have another flushy???

I was taking pics of him (of course), and then he said "mommy, I want to take a picture". So, I thought, what the heck-I'll make sure he doesn't drop it, his hands are clean, etc...or Kyle would kill me! So, here is a picture Bryce took of me..see below! I think he may have a future in photography like his Uncle Shaun...what do you think?

After we were done eating, I dragged B into my favorite store, White/House/Black/Market. Of course, they have their new spring line out and it is adorable!! I wish I could wear the new stuff, but I'll have to wait until next year..side note, by this time next year the "new stuff" will be at the outlet mall in san marcos, so if you're ever in San Marcos, seriously check it out-pants that used to be $88 down to $10!!
Anyways, Bryce managed to fall off the seat in the dressing room and hit his back which left a bruise, and he literally ran into the front window of the store at full-speed as I was checking out. Luckily, there were few customers in there and the ladies working there were cracking up. I think his cookie he had at lunch kicked in at that moment :)

Then, Karen and Jackson arrived and the FUN began! Jackson was hungry, so he ate his "hot dog on a stick" as he calls it...isn't he so cute!

Bryce and Jackson greeting each other!

Jackson and his "Hot-dog on a stick"
Then we headed to the merry-go-round. The boys had a blast. Karen and I were feeling a little dizzy and nauseous, especially me, after the ride! Then, we went to the play area and let the boys run wild and get all their energy out.

Jackson, Karen, and Bryce on the merry-go-round!

Bryce saying "Cheeeeesssseee"

"Thanks, mom, for the fun merry-go-round ride!"

Jackson hanging out in the play area house-he loves to chill in there..for a second!

B was laughing at some other kids...guess it was funny to him?!

Before we left, the boys hugged and we got them pretzels for the road! Do you think B was tired??? He didn't even finish his pretzel...and if you know B, he does NOT throw away food!

Thanks, Karen and Jackson, for a fun play-date! We love you all so much!!

Weekend Update/All over-the-place!

This weekend was so much fun! We had a surprise Birthday party at Magic Time Machine in Addison for Gabby, Kyle's mom! It was great to see the family and hang out and celebrate such a special woman in our lives! We love you Gabby..and B missed you! You can click here to go to my sis-in-law, Hollie's blog for some pics from Saturday!

Sunday was great. Sleeping in-well, I consider anything later than 6 a.m. sleeping in, so I finally got up at 7:30 to get ready for church. Kyle and I met my friend, Eleena, at church and sat together. I just love Stonebriar-feels like home! I'm so excited for our future there as a family, and individually to grow in our walk with Christ!

Then, comes the crazy part of my weekend-the airport. My flight was supposed to leave at 3:45, so like a responsible flyer, I arrived at LUV field promptly at 2:45, checked in, and waited at the gate (and caught up on silly gossip..you think Jennifer Aniston is really pregnant??) So, then comes the dreaded announcement "Our plane is having some mechanical problems, so we are flying another plane in from Austin". I 'm like, oh, no! Now I won't make it to San Antonio in time to make our return flight, so long story short...I couldn't get Bryce last night, I went today! At least he's home safe and back to being B...except for the tantrum he had leaving LUV field...he would NOT sit in his stroller, but now he's great! (Thanks to discipline and a police officer coming over to him as he was screaming...seriously, it was hilarious!)

Bryce has been saying some pretty funny things lately! I never thought at almost 2 1/2 I would be able to hold a conversation with him...here are the highlights...

This afternoon as I am changing his diaper...B is playing with his new slinky...gotta love keeping kids distracted..

Me: "B, how are you?"

Bryce: "Mama, my butt hurts..I need some toothpaste".

Ok, what he really means is buttpaste-you know, boudreax's butt paste-I hardly ever use it, but somehow lately he has figured out what that stuff is, and I guess he'll just be calling it toothpaste!

Something else B says ALL THE TIME is..."Mommy, What ya doin'?" It's so funny, you will be talking to him about something, and folding clothes, then you start cooking, and he HAS to know exactly what you are doing. It's kind of cool that he is so interested in knowing everything, but I'm sure as he gets older it will be funny when certain subjects arise!

We were laying down cuddling, and he jumped out of bed, and said "Mommy, I need to feed Ernie, Froggie, and see the bowl"....FYI-Ernie is Bryce's fish, and Froggie is well, you guessed it, his Frog! So, this weekend Kyle cleaned the fish bowl and got new plants and decor for it..see how EXCITED Bryce is to see his NEW bowl....

"SAY CHEEEEEEEESE"

"I LOVE MY NEW FISH BOWL-THANKS DADDY!"

This weekend I had Kyle get down my maternity clothes...yikes! I haven't actually started wearing them yet, but I think I will need to in the next couple weeks. I wore that great Bella/Belly band-you know, the band you wear over your clothes so you can have breathing room in your "skinny" jeans?! I swear, the dress pants I wore this morning already feel snug this afternoon...huh? Well, it's a blessing to have this peanut growing everyday!

Please pray for Kyle this week. He has alot on his plate-Monday-open house at school, Tuesday-baseball game, Thursday-Saturday-baseball tournament in Roundrock near Austin. B and I will miss him soooo much..actually as B says "miiiiiiisssss much"!!!

Last update on B: He just asked me...

B:"Mommy, does Santa go back up into the sky?"

Me: "Yes, Santa does, do you know when Bryce?"

B: "On my Birthday"

Me: "No, right before Jesus' Birthday."

B: started singing "Happy Birthday to Jesus", then said he wants to sing it to Daddy when he gets home! So sweet!

10 weeks & 1 1/4 inches!

That's right...I'm 10 weeks along, and the baby is a whopping 1 1/4 inches long! It's hard to believe this "little" thing can cause so much change. I don't know if I am just so in touch with my body now, or that it's my second pregnancy, but last night I was laying (lying)..see, Hollie, I don't know which one is correct, either! Anyways, I was on my back and I swear I felt the baby move. Now, I know with Bryce, I couldn't tell the difference between gas and the baby, but this time, I felt it, like a little flutter! I've been reading that the baby is turning all over, so I guess it could be the flutter feeling!

The baby is developing vital organs this week, tiny finger nails, toe-nails, and the baby's limbs can now move and bend! So cool to think of what is going on in there. I'm still not really "showing" yet, alothough Kyle and I can tell-look more bloated than pregnant! I'm sure I'll start sticking out there soon-can't wait!

I've been feeling lately that this baby is a girl. I guess because of the difference with Bryce's pregnancy. I had a little nighttime nausea with him, but this one is out-of-control nausea! I actually did eat a good lunch today, but that is rare. I have figured out my system-eat a big breakfast, try to eat lunch, and dinner is usually minimal because around 4 p.m. is when the fun starts...nausea, and I get sooooo sleepy! I'm hoping the next couple weeks will bring less nausea and more energy! Back to the girl or the boy-I'll be so happy with either, and it's so neat that only He knows right now what this little being inside me is...I just love that! BTW, we WILL find out April 28th the sex of the baby! I know it seems early, but my Dr. said at 18 weeks we will find out. I'll need your prayers for baby names after that appointment-have NO clue for a girl name!! If it's a boy we like Jackson Kyle! You like? I've also seen it spelled Jaxon-cute too!

This weekend will be filled with baseball games, a get-together, church, and airplanes! I'll miss my baby boy-he goes to San Antonio Friday, but I get to pick him up Sunday! I hope to relax and enjoy sleeping-in! I'm also going to try and catch-up on posting Bryce's baby info!

Tonight Bryce and I ate dinner with my parents-thanks for the yummy spaghetti, Dad! Bryce put on a show, and I mean he went back and forth singing "Jingle Bells" to "Good morning, camper" and just kept laughing and laughing. I think he might have a stage in his future...he also told me that he missed his daddy and when Kyle gets home he wants to give him kisses-how sweet!!!

I hope you have a blessed, safe weekend!!

Babies X 5

Ok, before you wonder..what the heck is babies times 5, let me just clarify we ARE only having 1 baby!!

I feel so touched by God to be carrying this precious gift and I am blessed to be sharing it with 5, yes 5 important women in my life. When I was pregnant with Bryce, I had one close friend, Rina, who was pregnant, and had a beautiful baby girl, Addison Rose, 6 weeks before Bryce-September 12, 2006! We didn't live in the same city, so we didn't get to "experience" pregnancy together. Now, I actually have my oldest, bestest (if that's a word), friend, Alisa, who is expecting and due the SAME week we are-isn't that amazing?!!!

First, a little bit about my dear friend, Alisa. She is soooooo stinking beautiful-inside and out. She is Thai, and so exotic looking. Remember Tia Carrarie (sp?), she was on Wayne's World, and recently Dancing with the Stars, well, they look alot alike! Alisa has a baby, Caden, who is precious, and still a baby-almost a year, so needless to say, Caden's sibling and he will be very close! Alisa and her family live in California, so we can't "see" each other everyday, but we talk often and compare pregnancy stories and moan to each other-it's great! She is making a visit later this month, and I can't tell you how excited I am to finally see her!!! So, she and I have been friends since 4th grade-seems like yesterday-ha! We even went to the same college, so we've been through all of life's ups/downs together-23 years is a long time!! If you ever meet Alisa, she will tell you of a funny story about when we took a bath together in 4th or 5th grade at my house, and I wouldn't share my permasoft-hilarious that I wouldn't share because I would share anything now, and even funnier that I had PERMASOFT!! She is also a fabulous cook-especially Thai food..Alisa, if you're reading this, I know you're thinking whatever I can't cook-but you CAN!!

Laurie-my sweet, funny neighbor is pregnant with her 3rd baby! She has Ella, almost 5 and Jack, almost 3! She is a hoot and I can't wait until we can compare bellies!

Valerie-she is a nurse in one of the Dr's offices I call on-actually she works in my OB's office, and I just love her, and she was with me when I first found out I was pregnant, and thought we were having a miscarriage, and now we are due the same week, too, just like Alisa!

Kelly-she is a dear friend of mine who I met through my job 2 years ago. She works for another company now, and has a sweet baby girl, Kate, who is 2! She and Al, her hubby, are expecting another baby girl in June! I'm so excited for them, and it's neat to hear how her 2nd pregnancy goes, and she's such an encouraging friend for me!

Karen- She is one of my best friends, and I could write an entire post on Karen and her journey over the past 3 years with trying to get pregnant, but, again it's about His timing, not ours, and Karen and Joe had a beautiful baby boy, Max on Friday! Congrats and I love you!!

I also have someone very close to me expecting, but I don't want to say anything yet out of respect for her privacy. I can't wait to share this news...soon! All I can say is His timing is amazing and I'm so blessed to share this experience with this person!! Love you!!!

I have several friends currently trying for babies, who have recently miscarried, and I would like to ask for prayer requests for them. I pray His love will comfort these ladies, and give them strength and perseverance, and hope! His timing is what it's all about, and I pray these ladies will be patient, and listen for your will, Lord! Amen!!
