Memorial Day Fun...GiGi, too!

This past weekend was FULL of BBQ's, get-togethers, play-dates, concerts, and lots of FUN! Here is a run-down of our crazy weekend. BTW-Why do I always make plans for every minute of a LONG weekend..I guess I'll never learn, or is it that I LOVE my friends and family?! I think that's it!

Friday- Kyle and I went to Hank's in McKinney with some good friends from church, Eleena and Justin, to watch Roger Kregar, Texas-country music star! It was alot of fun, and we were entertained by their friend, Kevin-a hoot! He gave every girl in the place his business card! B was at our house with Lex, Eleena and Justin's daughter, with a great baby-sitter, Alanna. It's so nice to find a good babysitter. I called once to check and everything was perfect. When we got home around 11 p.m., he was tucked in bed, had his PJ's on, new diaper, and was snoozing away. I'm so proud of my little booger! Alanna did say B wanted to go to sonic and get a "flushie" aka slushie, but we said no driving! (she is 16, but you know, safer staying at home!)

Saturday- B and I had a play-date with Karen, and Jackson Daniel! I have to use his middle name now, so I don't confuse our little Jackson on-the-way with him! B and Jackson have been buds since Jackson was 3 months old-I can't believe he will be 3 July 29th!! Yikes...time flies. Anyhow, the boys played, and played, oh, and they played with EVERY toy in the house, but as boys do-preferred the mower, weed eater, and blower. They even tried to help Kyle mow our backyard! Hilarious!! Jackson Daniel kept calling Kyle "Daddy" since B calls him that, it was so cute!

Bryce and Jackson Daniel watching someone mow outside!

Saturday Night-We went to my friend, Tracy's house for dinner. She and her family just moved to McKinney from Austin, and we are so happy they made the move! They live literally 3 minutes from our house and have 2 precious boys-Hudson and Grayson-2 year old twins! B had a ball with the boys-there were 5 boys there, and we had yummy pizza, and Kyle had a blast with David, Tracy's hubby, and Scott, David's bro! Of course, I forgot my camera, but I'll be sure to bring it next time so you can see her precious boys!
Sunday-We headed to Midlothian for the 1st annual Houser BBQ at Uncle David's house. It was so fun-filled with swimming, eating, riding the tractor, and watching all the boys/men play touch-football. Poor Kyle got "turf toe". I had no idea what that was, but basically his big toe bent all the way under his foot, causing severe pain, swelling, etc...It is better now!
Monday-ahh, our day of rest, right? Not a chance! We had my family, Kyle's Mom, and our neighbors, Laura and Jet over for a BBQ at noon! Poppy, Kyle's dad, made a special appearance after his long Harley ride from Friday! B loved seeing Poppy's Hog-he is fascinated with it! We relaxed, and watched B and Reese play. It sure was hot, and we ate, again, of course! It was so fun spending time with family and friends!
Bryce and Reese playing/talking!!
Here are some pics I ran across from when my Gi-Gi was in town. I forgot to post them, and had to show you all how precious my 84 year-old Grandmother is..she is going on age 30 by the way!

B kissing my "baby bump" aka Jackson!! He talks to Jackson everyday & loves his brother already!

My sweet Family!

Me and my sweet Hubby- I love him soooo much!!

Prayer Request Update!!

Thank you for praying for my dear friend, Kristi, and for my sweet Husband, Kyle. I have exciting updates, and more importantly, a testament to how powerful prayer is, and His will!

Kristi-Her sweet baby girl is doing great, and she and Mama are resting at HOME-yeah!! The Dr's surgery was successful, and they were able to keep her cervix completely closed. So, now Kristi will have to practice lots of patience watching re-runs and movies, eating bon-bons on the couch for the remainder of her pregnancy! Sounds fun, doesn't it-but it does get old, so please continue to pray for her and baby girl!

Kyle- HE DID IT!!! I knew he would, and I couldn't be MORE PROUD of my Hubby...Kyle got an offer today with Diachi Sankyo Pharamaceuticals. He will be starting his new career June 8th! This is such a blessing for him, and our family. Thanks for all your prayers! He is going to be a ROCKSTAR!!! Seriously, he is awesome! I LOVE him!!!

I'll post more about our FUN Memorial Day weekend later with pics! We had soooo much fun, and I'm sooo tired today :) Happy Tuesday!

XOXO,

Lindz

Random

Well, I wrote this long, beautiful post all about last week and then my stinkin' computer deleted it-awesome! That pretty much sums up my week last week, so here are the highlights...in no particular order...

Someone crashed into my car-didn't look, and pulled into the right side of my car-I'm fine, but a little shaken! I do have a sweet rental car now-charger!

I got my highlights done-love them she even put some red in, and in bigger "chunks"!!

B took his entire seat-belt off again as I was driving 65 down the highway-all I could do is cry and pray, then B started crying-he doesn't like to see Mama upset, and put his seat belt back on!

Kyle and I met Gabby and Poppy for dinner-love them!

I bought a double-running stroller for $30! Woo-hoo!! Can't wait to use it after Jackson's here!

Kyle and I went to church and a fun lunch with Russell and Sara-sweet friends!

We had a wonderful date night-where the romance began-only 1 year ago-WOW...at the Shops at Legacy-Taco Diner-so much fun people watching too btw, and spending time with my Lovey!!

We were supposed to go to a crawfish boil, but for the first time in a long time, I wasn't feeling well, but I'm much better now :)

One of my best friends, Julie's, sister-Jenny had a precious little girl, Taylor on Sunday!! She is so sweet, and such a blessing! She was 5 lbs, 14 oz-so little!

I have a couple prayer requests this week:

My friend, Kristi, is due with a baby girl the same week I'm due with Jackson! She had surgery this morning because her cervix is opening (called an incompetent cervix). This is easy to fix-they literally sew her cervix shut until the baby is ready to come out. Please pray for Kristi, her Husband, and baby girl!

Kyle also has a HUGE week-his 3rd interview Thursday for a new sales job. This would be a new job, career, and an awesome opportunity for him and our family. Please pray God will give Kyle the wisdom he needs, the right words to say, and most importantly to glorify Him during this process.

Thank You!

XOXO,
Lindz

Happy Mother's Day!!

Happy Mother's Day!!
Here is what my amazing Husband and darling son surprised me with this morning......
Kyle knows me so well...four of my favorite things....a sweet card, flowers (including my favorite yellow roses), a SPA gift certificate-YES!!, and a non-fat Tai Chi Latte-my latest craving!!

We are about to get ready for the eventful Mothers Day: first, brunch at my Mom's house with my Grandma Gloria and family! Then, off to a baby shower for Kyle's cousin, Kristin! Then, probably pass out!

This week has been craaazzzyyyy. Here are the highlights/updates: Jan, my best friend's Dad, is breathing on his own, and going to be taken out of ICU-hopefully this weekend! Praise the Lord! Bryce came down with strep-throat, and I have been nursing him back to health, My Grandma Gloria came into town Thursday, and I just love, love her!! I'll post more about our visit later! Kyle had his interview with a pharmaceutical company, and he got picked to go to the 2nd round May 21st! Yeah! This week has been crazy, but fun! Now, off to get ready for brunch...

Have a Blessed day with your Kids, Mom's, Mother-in-Law's, etc..!!!

XOXO,
Lindz
