My Sunflower!

Here is B the last two days.....

Bryce waiting for Dr. Kessinger....

B got a "surprise" phone call from Santa! He usually calls 3-4 times a day to make sure B is being a good boy!

B pretending to give himself his shots-maybe he won't mind the 3-year old shots in October???

Look at those Big Feet!!!

B sleeping in Mommy & Daddy's bed-until I woke him up with my flashes!

He is getting so BIG!!

B picked this flower for me at Stephanie's yesterday, and he picked another one today!(Sorry, Steph)!! He is so sweet-and loves making his Mommy smile!

I'm so excited-I got these cute thank-you notes for our upcoming showers for Jackson! I also got some cute return address labels I'm picking up today!

Yesterday my brother, Shaun, as in the greatest photographer ever, came over and took some pics of me and B and my belly! Hopefully I'll have some proofs to post later this week! It was tough getting B to cooperate, but I think Shaun got some cute ones!

My Big Boy!!

This morning I realized my "baby" is growing up! I know, he's not even 3 years old yet, but check the highlights of our conversations this morning....

"Mama, I want a snack, I mean, Mama, I want waffles and eggies"!

After B ate his "snack", we "cuddled" as he called it before I took him to Steph's. As I was getting (crawling) out of bed, B said this to me "Mama, is it too hard for you to get up pecause (because) Jackson is so big"??? OMG-how funny is that?

Then, I got dressed and he had a conversation with Jackson and kissed him, and pulled my tank top down over my belly and says "night-night, Jackson", then he looked up at me and said "Mama, your shirt is too small"!! Oh, I love the honesty of my baby boy!

So, we get ready to go, and B says "Mama, your hair wooks (looks) pretty"!! Wow-I think he is my biggest fan (besides Kyle), to think my hair looks pretty without touching it!

B and I are so excited-only 4 more days and we get to have our LOVE, DADDY, home!! B and I are going to pick Kyle up at the airport Friday at 9:45 a.m. I feel like I haven't seen him in ages, although we talk 3-4 times a day. This weekend was pretty rough-Saturday I was in tears due to my back pain. It's better today though! Friday was crazy-B had a fever, then diagnosed with early strep throat, I started feeling sick, so I started antibiotics ,too. Thank the sweet Lord my parents are down the street to help-I don't know what I would've done by myself trying to take care of B!

Yesterday I felt better, so my Mom, B, and I went to Jackson Daniel's 3rd Birthday party. It had to have been the most fun party for a 3-year old ever! Seriously, it was just Jackson's close "buddies", and their families. I am going to take note of how great a small party was-(last year I had over 65 people at B's 2nd b-day party)-INSANE! This year I'm thinking small, family, a couple of B's friends, that's it!

Anyhow, here are some pics from yesterday-B was so worn out after the swimming, riding bikes, eating cake, and of course helping Jackson open his gifts-it was hilarious! Even the adults enjoyed some awesome Bellini's (I had a virgin of course)!!

Enjoy!
Bryce and Michael having a blast in the pool!

B hanging in Jackson's hot tub!

Bryce, Jackson and Stone making wishes! We did this at least 5 times so every kid could have "their turn"-hilarious!

Opening Presents!

4 Navel Oranges

I say at least 6! That is-how big Jackson feels in my belly right now! Supposedly, he is the size of 4 navel oranges, and about 16 inches long. He is sooooo active-which is a good thing, but way more active than Bryce was at 31 weeks. My entire stomach will move-looks like he's doing the wave!

Today was my 3rd day being on bedrest and it's so weird-I'm exhausted! If I get up for even 10 minutes, I have to lay back down to rest. I guess it's a good thing my Dr. made me stop working-the braxton hicks have gotten better and back pain too, but they come back as soon as I'm doing something for too long. So, I'm gonna just have to listen to my Mama and relax!

I did manage to get a pre-natal massage today-heavenly! I SO needed one of those-helped my back too. I took a bubble bath afterwards, and it's funny how you don't realize how much you use your stomach muscles until you're pregnant! I was washing my hair in the tub and had to use my hands to support my body when I dunked my head-yeah, felt like a whimp, but it's true!

Kyle is doing great at training-he got a 100% on the written test today over hypertension, and 98% on the verbal test! I'm so proud of him! He is going to kick butt once he's done with all his training. B and I miss him soooo much! B constantly is asking "Where is daddy"?? I always say, you know where-and he answers "In Mu Jersey"!! So cute! B is a handful right now with my limitations and Kyle being gone, but thank the Lord my parents are down the street-such a blessing!

Last night B and I walked across the street to "Auntie Paula's" house for dinner-she is the BEST cook on earth! I've known her and her family since I was 9! Her son, Michael is dating one of my best friends, Karen! She joined us for dinner, too, and it was so nice. B was wild, but Bob and Michael played soccer and golf outside with him.

Only 1 week from tomorrow and Kyle will be home for 2 weeks-yeah! I can't wait! Then, he'll have to go back to training for 3 weeks, but he will fly home on the second weekend. I'm praying Jackson will keep cooking until after Kyle is all done with training. Please pray for at least 7 more weeks so he can be fully developed and healthy!

I also have a prayer request for Michael, Paula's son. He was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer, and is having treatments Aug 7th. He has to follow this craaazzy diet for 2 weeks prior-basically eating nothing with salt, only chicken, and veggies. I know that would get old really fast. He had his thyroid removed already, but they found some more cancer in his lymph nodes. So, please keep Michael in your prayers for a full recovery. The tough part is not only the treatment, but he has to be isolated for 2-3 days in his house, and can't come into contact with anyone to prevent radiation damage to them. They even have to throw away anything he touches. Thanks for your prayers!

Lindz

Relax, Relax, Relax

Today has been full of events-good and bad. I woke up praying my back would feel better since I have a crazy work-week ahead of me, and the fact that Kyle left for 2 weeks today didn't make me think it would get any easier. So, we piled in the car, headed to Starbucks, dropped B off, and headed to the airport.

On the way, I started having braxton hicks again and my back hurt so bad I was hunching over my steering wheel. I know Kyle hated leaving me like this, but I tried to be tough-tough lasted about 30 more minutes. I called my Dr, she insisted I come in, and by 3 p.m. she made me go on an early maternity leave.

So, I am now not working, and supposed to relax, stay off my feet, and the idea is the contractions should stop! With the nature of my job-in and out of the car, standing all the time, etc...she felt it was not a good idea to continue working. So, now I will be catching up on movies, books, journals. I admit it will be very hard to not do any work, but Kyle and my Dr. insist NO WORK, just relax and let Jackson continue to grow and rest. One of my nurses saw me have a contraction and was like, yep-you're done working. I guess with my personality it's gonna be hard, but I'll try and make the best of it and chill!

Kyle made it to New Jersey and is getting ready for tests this week. I miss him so much already, but know I only have 9 more days until I can see him. Bryce has been saying "Daddy is in Mu Jersey". So funny! He had some pretty funny conversations on his "cell phone" (his hand) tonight: he put Santa on "speaker" and told him he was sending him to "voicemail"!!! I guess B really does listen to my conversations!
I'm sure I'll be better about posting now since I'm home now! I still can't believe I probably won't be back at work until January-that's next year!! Woe!

Houser's Lately...

Lately-lots of stuff going on! I tried to post all these cute pics from last weekend's parties, but something is going on with my computer/blogger, so they will have to wait.

Here are some highlights from the Houser crew this past week:

~B is wearing his "Big Boy" underwear during the day now-yeah, but still wearing the diaper at night! He's making great progress-I'm praying he'll be fully potty-trained before Jackson gets here!

~B has decided it's okay to go potty outside if he and Daddy are playing baseball, I mean, it's much easier than running into the house, right?? Oh my goodness-I almost died when he did this!!!

~B thinks anything that you pour on your food is salt. The other night I made homeade pizza and Kyle tried to put parmasean cheese on it, but opened the wrong end and it dumped all over his pizza, so he shared with me and B. Then, B proceeded to get it ALL over the table, floor, seat...a real mess! Then he asked us, "Can I have more salt"??? This boy cracks me up!

~B's latest sayings (good/bad) When he gets in trouble-"You're a meany"; When I complain of pregnancy pain "Mama, can I rub your back?" (He actually DOES rub my back-SO SWEET!!); B no longer calls me "Mommy", it's ALWAYS "Mama" now! B has conversations on his "pretend" cell phone-his hand, with Santa Claus! Then he'll get off the phone and say he's gonna be a good boy so Santa will bring him presents! He says " Have a great, great day" to Kyle every morning!

~If I go to Starbucks in the morning on my way to drop B off at Stephanie's he always says "Mama, I want a muffin". So, of course, he gets his muffin, and I get my chai tea latte-we're both happy! The cute thing is he always wants to share with "Big Bryce", Steph's middle-son. He will eat some in the car, and save the rest for Big Bryce-so sweet and makes me happy that he is grasping how to share!

~My pregnancy pain is still here-30 weeks, and seeing the light, but these darn Braxton Hicks and back pain are getting worse-I'm praying I can keep working! My Dr. appt. this week went well, she just wants me to slow down and come back in if I'm still in pain, but I'm trying to be tough! We'll see how long that lasts!

~Kyle and I registered last night at Babies-R-Us-Kyle was hilarious with the "gun". He scanned everything-2 diaper bags (for him), 2 carseats, but we deleted, b/c we have the one that B used! He was a trooper-we literally shut down the store-yes, that's how we roll on a Friday night!!!

~Today, me, Gabby (Kyle's mom), Grancy (my mom), and Hollie (Drama Mama), and Alexie met at Babies-R-Us to finish the registering, went to eat lunch, and finished up at Target-did a registry there, too! We are all set for the baby shower-can't wait! My girlfriends are having a couple's baby shower for us next month-so excited!

~Kyle and I had a wonderful date night tonight-ate at The Porch, got some yummy Yogilitious yogurt afterwards, and now relaxing! My honey leaves Monday a.m. for 2 whole weeks! I'm gonna need lots of prayers to ge through it-the longest I've gone apart from him is 3 days and I was a baby! He'll come home for 2 weeks, then leaves again for 3!! That will be harder because I'll be about at the end of pregnancy, but he'll be on stand-by if anything happens.

I'm looking forward to a blessed day tomorrow and hope you have one, too! It's my Baby Brother, Shaun's 29th Birthday-Happy Birthday, Shauny! I love you!!

Geeg (My nickname he calls me: he couldn't say "Lindsey" when he was little, so he called me Gee-Gee!)

Cabbage

Yep, that's what they're saying my baby is the size of these days!! Although last night we had a get-together and my friend who is a mid-wife said Jackson feels alot bigger-she thinks 4-4.5 pounds already??!! WOW! I can't believe I'm 30 weeks this week! Home stretch!! I wish I felt better. Over the past week or so I've been having Braxton Hicks already and my back is KILLING me! I am seriously in so much pain. I feel like a whimp, but hopefully my Dr. can help me out tomorrow at my checkup-appointment. I'm worrying about pre-term labor because I was dialated with Bryce at 2cm. for over a month! I guess we'll find out tomorrow what the deal is, and hopefully I can have some relief.

We've been super busy since we got home from vacation-work has been craaazzzyyy, Bryce is just growing up and doing the funniest things, and Kyle is getting ready to head off to his first phase of training next Monday-boo! No, it's a blessing for our family, but I will miss him so much! I have a bunch of pics to post later from this weekend's festivities-2 parties!

Bryce just told me me his "bo-bo" (finger he hurt), needed a bandaid- bought him some sponge bob bandaids and he wants to have at least 2 on him at ALL times! Anyways, he said his "bo-bo" just flew away and is all better now! He is so funny-I am so blessed to be his mommy!

Have a great Sunday!

Lindz
