2 weeks??

I went to the Dr. today and I am dilated 2 cm and cervix is 75% thinned out or effaced!!! I am excited, anxious, and hoping Jackson will "cook" for at least 1-2 more weeks! My Dr. isn't too concerned, as long as he can cook for another week, so we can make it to 37 weeks! She ws examining me- (ouch), and she actually felt his head! He is so low that when she felt his head, he jumped! It was kind of funny, but painful! So, I'm wondering what God's plan is now?? If Jackson comes next week he may have to spend a little time in the nicu, which is ok, just scares me a little bit! My Dr. actually had her son at 30 weeks, 2 lbs, and he had no breathing problems. She said genetics play a big part too. She thinks he's only about 5-6 lbs right now. She said "you can't have big babies, your frame won't hold em"!! She's funny!

Great news is my Lovey, Kyle, is on a plane and on his way home now for GOOD! Yeah!!! This is such a relief for us, I can't even tell you. The thought of him missing the birth just tears me up! He gets in around 10 p.m. tonight and B and I are so excited! I'm sure Jackson is too!

I'm excited tomorrow Hollie and Gabby are having a baby shower for me and Annie, so I'll be sitting down the entire time! I have instructions from the Dr-complete bedrest-she wants little to no activity!

Oh, I had my Stella & Dot Trunk show last night-amazing! I love it! It was so much fun!! I'll post pics later. Now, I must follow Dr's orders and lay in bed!

Pretty soon...Jackson Kyle Houser will make his arrival...pray for 2 weeks!! Even Sept. 19th-my G-pop's B-day would be so cool!

Prayers

It seems lately that my family, friends, blogger friends, all need prayers. I literally woke up this morning with alot of my own, and other people's worries on my heart. I am very blessed, and have nothing to complain about other than a migraine this morning, pregnancy-aches, and worry about when Jackson will be born into this world. Others have much scarier worries right now, and this scripture spoke to me this morning, and I hope it will do the same for you...

Phillippians 4:13
"I can do all this through him who gives me strength"

Simple, but so true! He will give you, your family, my family, strength to get through whatever is going on in your life. I just think that's so cool that Jesus meets us where we are in life!

I hope today is full of blessings and you feel His strength!

My bruda!

That's how B says "Brother"...Bruda!! Last weekend in the midst of all our company in town, shower, and Kyle's last weekend before he headed off to training again, we took B to a "Teddy Bear" camp at the hospital we'll be delivering Jackson at-Medical Center of Plano! Kyle was thrilled to go-ha! No, he was a trooper, and it meant alot to me and B!
There were about 15 kids ages 2-3 mostly awaiting the arrival of their siblings, a few kids already had their new brothers or sisters! A nurse from the hospital taught the kids how to hold the baby, feed the baby a bottle, gave a tour of the Labor and Delivery, the room Mommy will be staying in, and B's favorite part-snack time! I have to say Bryce was so good, and he is so social-where does he get that? HA! He sat and talked to all the kids around him while they ate their snacks, and it was hilarious to hear him socialize without him knowing we were listening! I'm such a proud mama!
My favorite activity they did was taking a toilet paper-holder and decorating it with stickers, their names, etc.. Then, the nurses had the kids put toys down the roll, and if the toys fit in there, explained they were not good toys for their brother or sister! B really liked this activity and when we got home, he explained it to us-yeah! I know he's gonna be such a big help with Jackson! Here is Bryce's latest song he made up for Jackson...

Hilarious! B keeps asking me "Mama, when is Jackson coming out"??
I'm like, I WISH I KNEW!!! I am going to the Dr. Friday for a check-up to see if I'm dilated. I'm almost 36 weeks, so if I am it's ok now! I'm praying we can still make it to 37-38 weeks so Jackson's lungs are strong! I'll post afterwards!

The rest of the week is gonna fly by-hopefully! Tomorrow Hol is coming over to help me finish Jackson's room; Thurs I'm finally getting my hair highlighted-needs it badly; Thurs night-my first Stella & Dot Trunk show-sooo excited!! Fri-Dr. appt and lunch with Jules! I swear, I AM resting, I just allow myself 1 activity a day so I don't go completely crazy :)

Monkey Business!!

My friend, Kristie, is a talented artist, and happens to live in my neighborhood. She finished Jackson's "Monkeys" today and I am sooo excited to finish the room now! All I need is Lovey to hang the decor up, but he's in NJ, so may have to bribe someone to help!! :)If anyone needs a talented artist that's very reasonable to do any painting-murals, smaller painting like Jackson's monkeys, etc.. let me know!








This is one of the things I'm going to hang up in Jackson's room! Isn't it adorable?? Hollie, my talented sis-in-law, made this for Jackson and gave it to us at our baby shower last weekend! It is so special! Thanks, Hol! I'm sure Jackson will feel this way about his big brother, Bryce someday!!

Whirlwind

Wow! The past week has been craaazzzyyy, but soooo much fun! We had friends in town Wed-Sun last week for the baby shower on Saturday which was awesome. We also had 2 Birthday celebrations Thurs and Fri night for my BIG 32nd B-day! It was a blast! It still sounds weird to say I'm 32, but feels good!

Ok, this guy works at Chuys, got everyone's attention, and announced it was my B-day. So, I'm thinking, ok, they're gonna just sing me happy b-day, right? NO!! He got on one knee and sang to me in OPERA a beautiful rendition of happy b-day! It was so cool!!

I had the best Birthday ever and our shower was so fun! I thought I would be pushing it with all the company, parties, etc..but thank you, Jesus, I am still not dialated! I went to the Dr. yesterday and she said Jackson is doing great-she feels we will make it to at least 37 weeks, so this is great news- Jackson should be full-term, have healthy lung capacity, and Kyle should be home for his birth! Kyle left Monday for the last 3 weeks of his training. He'll be home on the 28th for 2 days, then goes back for his last week! Please keep Kyle and Jackson is your prayers! Thanks!

Cantaloupe & Fish!

Jackson is the size of a cantaloupe! We will be 34 weeks tomorrow-what a wonderful Birthday present for me!!! I can feel him growing bigger everyday, and he continues to do his back-flips, too. I think he has changed positions, but I will find out Tuesday at my check-up appointment. Please pray I am not dilated yet, for we want Jackson to keep cooking for at least another month! I have started my "nesting" already, and I am leaking colostrum (sp?)...but I read that can happen weeks and months before delivery-let's hope so!!!

Today starts our crazy week/weekend! Here's the run-down:
Today-Missy and Travis arriving from Iowa, we are meeting for an early dinner before they head to the AAC to watch a talented friend in Gymnastics.

Thursday-My 32nd Birthday!! I am having lunch with my favorite partners-my team I am blessed to work with-Tim, Jules, Geoff, Jen! Then, I'm sure we'll relax (Dr's orders), and my family is coming over for dinner and B-day cake-yum :)

Friday-Pick up Jan (my best friend), and her Hubby, Ohm at airport, meet friends for another B-day dinner at Chuys-yum :) Don't you just love their salsa?!!

Saturday-Kyle, Bryce, and I are going to a "teddy bear workshop" from 10-11 a.m. at the hospital I'll be delivering Jackson at; they go over how B should hold his brother, what it means to be a Big Brother, and he makes him a gift, and they sit in tents with their teddy-bears-too cute! Oh, they also give Bryce a tour of the labor & delivery so he can see where he will wait to see Mama and Baby Jackson! I think I'm more excited about this adventure than anyone-Thanks, Lovey, for being a trooper!

Then, we will come home and get ready for the baby shower. Missy and Travis will be leaving, and after our Couples Baby Shower, we are going to The Jones' house to relax, and I get to spend time with my favorite girls and babies! Karen and Joe are coming into town from Austin with their 2 kids-Max, almost 6 months, and Riley-almost 3 months! I am so excited to see everyone, I just have to remember to relax!!!

So, the last 2 nights, I have gone with Kyle and Bryce to "watch" them fish! It is the cutest thing seeing Bryce imitate EVERY move Kyle makes. Last night poor Kyle got hit with B's fishing bait a couple times b/c B was too close-oops! Here are some pics of the last 2 nights of "Fishing with the Boys"!!!

Prayers, please

Please say a prayer for my Mom's best friend's family today. My Mom is the greatest Mom and friend in the world and today her Best Friend (since she was 2 yrs. old) lost her Husband to a massive heart attack. I cannot disclose the names of the family yet until they release a public statement (he is very recognizable in Hollywood), but please get on your knees with me and pray for the Family, My mom's Best Friend, their children, grandchildren for peace, comfort during this sudden, sad time. I still cannot believe he is gone. I have known this man my entire life-he is talented, smart, caring, a loving husband, grandfather.

Update: Thank you for your prayers. I'm sure you know by now I was speaking of John Hughes, the director, producer, writer. It is all over the news and internet now. He is such an amazing man and please continue to pray for his family. My Mom will be leaving soon to go comfort her best friend, and attend memorial services. He was only 59-I still can't believe he is gone. I love you, Nancy

New Adventure

I am sooooo excited about my newest adventure, with Stella & Dot. I am now a Stylist!! It's an amazing jewelry company that offers high-end pieces at an affordable price! Even celebrities wear this stuff! Anyhow, my good friend, Megan, started with Stella & Dot recently and got me into it! I can't tell you how excited I am about having my own business that I love, believe in, and get to host fun parties with friends! If you know me, you know I LOVE jewelry! Kyle always jokes that I am "accessorized" all the time!

I am having my first "Launch/Trunk" show on August 27th at my house, so let me know if you wan to join! It will be fun-food, drinks, trying on this fabulous jewelry from 7-9 pm! The coolest part is if anyone wants to host a party, they can get FREE jewelry! Nothing is better than FREE!

I am hoping this is something I can do part-time along with my current job, and who knows-maybe eventually be a Stylist for Stella & Dot full time! I just pray He will guide me with this new adventure and be able to glorify Him in the process!

Jackson update

I have had a busy week so far-funny, since I'm on bedrest-but it's amazing what you can do with a computer, talking on the phone with friends, starting a new business-I am SOOOOO excited about this-will post tomorrow about it; and going to the Dr.

So, Kyle and I went for Jackson's checkup today. Everything was great-I am NOT dialated yet, Dr. said the placenta has moved back to a normal position, and Jackson has positioned himself head down-yay-maybe this means no C-section?? She did say my cervix started to thin out a little bit, but she didn't seem too concerned, so I'm not going to worry. She feels as long as I'm resting, it's allowing him to cook longer! I just pray Jackson will take his sweet time and wait until mid-late September! He is measuring a little bigger so hopefully he's not like his Daddy-9 lbs-yikes! I was small-6 pounds, so I'm guessing Jackson will be 7 or so, right??

Gone Fishing!!

My boys, Kyle and Bryce, had an adventure yesterday: They went FISHING! Now, Kyle was very brave taking a 2, almost 3 year-old fishing, but he knew Mama needed some rest-so sweet! So, they went to a "catch-and-release" pond near our house and had a blast! I think they were there for an hour and Kyle fished for about 15 minutes-of course this wasn't due to chasing B, trying to get the fishing pole, bait, or prevent B from throwing the fishing equipment into the water-nahhhh!!!

My Lovey!

That's what I call Kyle-the sweetest, most thoughtful, Godly, handsome, loving Husband in the world! Today was pretty rough for me-pain was really bad, but we went to church anyways, and when we got home and I rested, the contractions started, back pain, and they haven't gotten alot better yet-still waiting. So, sweet Husband went to the store for ice cream-actually his idea-and when he returned, Bryce walked in to the room and handed me these beautiful yellow roses-my favorite!
