I'm BAAAAACCKKKK

Hello, Blogger-World! Yes, I've been absent for quite-a-while....9 months to be exact! Why, you ask? Well, here is a run-down of why I have gotten away from blogging...but have no fear-Houser Happenings is back! I am going to set a goal of blogging once a week, and hopefully get back to daily blogs!

The past 9 months have consisted of: (Sorry if this is too personal)

Purchasing a new home
Renovating a new home
Selling a new home
Putting current home on market
Taking current home off market
Quitting part-time job
Gave our Nanny who is part of our family notice
Got new nanny-who didn't work out
Hired Nanny back-Thank you Jesus again!
Worked a part-time contract job that sucked!
Getting an AMAZING job I love now, but probably about to go though a layoff :(
Bryce finishing his 2nd year of preschool!
Jackson growing up WAY to fast-almost 21 months old!!!
Both boys loving the game of baseball like Daddy...and they are dang good too!
I had a breast-cancer scare-had surgery-thank you Jesus for a good outcome
That breast-cancer scare triggered my post-pardum depression I didn't realize I had!
Overcoming my post-pardum
My Best Friend who has been battling fertility for 5 years got matched for an adoption!
One of my best friends and Sis-in-Law, Hollie..aka.. The Drama Mama and her family are moving to Iowa in 2 weeks :(

Ok, that's a quick recap of life...the way I experienced it anyways...over the past 9 months or so! I have so much to share, and I hope to use this blog now as not only a documentation for my children, but also to give my testimony how He has worked in my world, and how I have grown from it!

Randomness!

I feel like I have soooo much to say, so litle time, and last night I had 1 hour of sleep, so this will probably be all-over-the-place!!

I can't even begin to describe the love I have for my family. I am so blessed to have 2 beautiful, healthy, sweet boys, and the most amazing Husband! Jackson has enriched our lives so much in only 3 weeks. (Happy 3 week B-day, Jackson!!)Although sleep is a luxury these days, sleepless nights are so worth it!

Yesterday, Gabby and Poppy came over and watched Jackson while Kyle and I went to the gym...yes, I am nuts-but I have to admit working out is a great break, and makes me feel productive, and gives me some much needed energy! I am sore today!

Here is Poppy holding little J-just precious!

Gabby & Poppy!

Here is J from this weekend-he has gotten bigger! He is now 6 1/2 pounds!! I can't wait until he gets chunky! This is how he sleeps-I think he was in this position in my belly! BTW-I am STILL supposed to be pregnant right now-crazy, huh?!!

Jackson always has those big hands on his face! He has Kyle's hands and feet!

Last weekend Bryce went to his first girlfriend, Addison Rose's 3rd B-day party! It was a princess/prince party and he had a blast! Grancy and I had fun too. Kyle stayed home with Jackson, and it was a good 2 hour break. Addison met B when he was still in my tummy. Rina, Addison's mommy, is due with Andrew in November! The party was everything pink, but B had the most fun playing with toys and of course-in the bounce house....did I mention it was raining, but did that stop him-no! He even had to borrow some of Addison's clothes while we dryed his wet clothes!

We have had so many visitors, friends and family over the past 3 weeks-we are truely blessed! Chris, Annie, Charlie, and Alex came over a week ago to see Jackson! Little did we know baby Will would be joining him in the world a week later!!

Sweet Jackson sleeping!

Poppy holding Jackson after we got home from hospital!

Bryce found some lipstick of mine, and wanted to look pretty like mama, he said!!

Like I mentioned above, Will, Jackson's cousin, joined the world Friday evening! Annie was 36 weeks-just like I was when I had Jackson! Crazy how we both had these Houser boys early-they just couldn't wait to meet their families! Please pray Will's lungs are strengthened daily so he can go home with his Mommy and Daddy! We love you Will, and can't wait to hold you. Jackson can't wait to meet you ,too!

Lots of Updates

Warning: Pictures!! The past week has been so busy I haven't found time until now-ahhh, cuddled up in bed with my two boys-nothing better! So, here are some highlights of some of the things we've done over the past week 1/2. Enjoy!!

Last Friday, we celebrated (sadly), one of my BFF's "Going Away Party". Sarah and her beautiful daughter, Taylor, are moving to Abilene to be closer to family. We will miss them so much, but Sarah and I talk everyday, so nothing will really change. I probably won't see her until August, too long! We went to this great Italian place in Uptown off McKinney called Campania-kid friendly, too! Then, we went next door for yogurt!

B and Taylor!

Holly and Colin!!

Ok, B kept waving to ALL the ladies on the patio-it was hilarious! Had to capture his early flirting!

Bryce and Daddy!

Me and my Honey!

Kyle showing me his Guns!

The whole gang: Holly, Geoff, Julie, Kyle, Bryce (hiding his face),

Nicky, Tim, Sarah, Colin, Me, Taylor!

My Girls: Julie and Sarah!

Sarah inspecting Tim's manicure!

Kyle and B having a "time out" b/c B was running around yogurt shop like a mad-man & spilled someones water ALL over the floor!

Last Saturday, we went to Gabby and Poppy's house (Kyle's parents), so Kyle could help with some landscaping. Robbie, Kyle, and Poppy worked in the yard, and at first B and I stayed inside (I thought he would nap, but yeah, right there was sun out, so we went to the pool with Hollie, Alexie, and Kole!) Sweet Ky slept like an angel with Gabby. These are pics after we got back. These cousins love each other! So sweet!!

Ok, these next pics are hilarious. Kyle, we think fractured his foot, while showing his manly athletic abilities at Uncle Dave's house over memorial day weekend. Seriously, he really hurt his foot and has been icing it every night. So, of course Mr. B had to COPY what his Daddy was doing, right?!!

Kyle icing his foot!

B has a piece if ice in his hand on his foot, and another piece next to him!

Now, B eating the ice! Such a BOY!

This past weekend, Kyle and I made alot of progress for Jackson's room. We bought the changing table/dresser...pick up tomorrow! We also ordered the adorable Caden Lane bedding-can't wait to get it then we will be able to paint and complete the room for our little "Monkey"!!
Before we finish Jackson's room, we needed to complete B's room. He still had a couple things we wanted to get for him. So, here is what we did....

Cute Sport-themed decorations! We covered ALL sports-don't want him to always just hear about baseball, you never know, he could be the next QB for the Cowboys, or Guard for the Mavs!! HA!

Boston Red Sox picture!

Cool Basketball court Rug!!

Finally, we hung up crosses that had been on his bookshelf! So neat to show him his crosses and explain what they mean! We owe it all to Him!! I asked B what he crosses meant tonight and he said "Jesus"...made my heart smile!

This week is going to be another crazy one with Kyle starting his new job tomorrow, me trying to get things together and finished for work before next week....our MUCH needed vacation to California!! Yeah!!
Have a blessed week!
XOXO,

Memorial Day Fun...GiGi, too!

This past weekend was FULL of BBQ's, get-togethers, play-dates, concerts, and lots of FUN! Here is a run-down of our crazy weekend. BTW-Why do I always make plans for every minute of a LONG weekend..I guess I'll never learn, or is it that I LOVE my friends and family?! I think that's it!

Friday- Kyle and I went to Hank's in McKinney with some good friends from church, Eleena and Justin, to watch Roger Kregar, Texas-country music star! It was alot of fun, and we were entertained by their friend, Kevin-a hoot! He gave every girl in the place his business card! B was at our house with Lex, Eleena and Justin's daughter, with a great baby-sitter, Alanna. It's so nice to find a good babysitter. I called once to check and everything was perfect. When we got home around 11 p.m., he was tucked in bed, had his PJ's on, new diaper, and was snoozing away. I'm so proud of my little booger! Alanna did say B wanted to go to sonic and get a "flushie" aka slushie, but we said no driving! (she is 16, but you know, safer staying at home!)

Saturday- B and I had a play-date with Karen, and Jackson Daniel! I have to use his middle name now, so I don't confuse our little Jackson on-the-way with him! B and Jackson have been buds since Jackson was 3 months old-I can't believe he will be 3 July 29th!! Yikes...time flies. Anyhow, the boys played, and played, oh, and they played with EVERY toy in the house, but as boys do-preferred the mower, weed eater, and blower. They even tried to help Kyle mow our backyard! Hilarious!! Jackson Daniel kept calling Kyle "Daddy" since B calls him that, it was so cute!

Bryce and Jackson Daniel watching someone mow outside!

Saturday Night-We went to my friend, Tracy's house for dinner. She and her family just moved to McKinney from Austin, and we are so happy they made the move! They live literally 3 minutes from our house and have 2 precious boys-Hudson and Grayson-2 year old twins! B had a ball with the boys-there were 5 boys there, and we had yummy pizza, and Kyle had a blast with David, Tracy's hubby, and Scott, David's bro! Of course, I forgot my camera, but I'll be sure to bring it next time so you can see her precious boys!
Sunday-We headed to Midlothian for the 1st annual Houser BBQ at Uncle David's house. It was so fun-filled with swimming, eating, riding the tractor, and watching all the boys/men play touch-football. Poor Kyle got "turf toe". I had no idea what that was, but basically his big toe bent all the way under his foot, causing severe pain, swelling, etc...It is better now!
Monday-ahh, our day of rest, right? Not a chance! We had my family, Kyle's Mom, and our neighbors, Laura and Jet over for a BBQ at noon! Poppy, Kyle's dad, made a special appearance after his long Harley ride from Friday! B loved seeing Poppy's Hog-he is fascinated with it! We relaxed, and watched B and Reese play. It sure was hot, and we ate, again, of course! It was so fun spending time with family and friends!
Bryce and Reese playing/talking!!
Here are some pics I ran across from when my Gi-Gi was in town. I forgot to post them, and had to show you all how precious my 84 year-old Grandmother is..she is going on age 30 by the way!

B kissing my "baby bump" aka Jackson!! He talks to Jackson everyday & loves his brother already!

My sweet Family!

Me and my sweet Hubby- I love him soooo much!!

4 generations-Me, Jackson (in belly), Gi-Gi (Grandma Gloria), Mama!

Gi-Gi and Uncle Shaun (my Bro)! Aren't they beautiful?!!!
B being silly-willy, as I call him! Check out those calf muscles!!
